Today is the 125th birthday of famous censor and anti-Semite Joseph Breen. When he retired from the Production Code office in 1954, he received an honorary Oscar for "his conscientious, open-minded and dignified management of the Motion Picture Production Code." "Open-minded"?!

Good riddance. It wasn't just Jews: he was an all round racist and he also advocated against anti-Nazi filmmaking until instructed otherwise. May he rest in pieces and rot in hell.
