Kameradschaft & Westfront 1918 from Criterion

Unread post by Harold Aherne » Mon Oct 16, 2017 10:07 pm

Eureka released G. W. Pabst's Kameradschaft and Westfront 1918 a few months ago, but Criterion will issue them separately as part of their January slate. Also scheduled are Young Mr. Lincoln and an Eclipse set (DVD only) of four Claude Autant-Lara films from the 40s. Details:

Thank you Harold. Is Kameradschaft a silent film?

I am glad to see Eclipse showing signs of life; I don't think there had been one released since the Duvivier set a couple of years ago, and I assumed that sort of thing all went to Filmstruck.

Kameradschaft is a German film, but as it is about French and German miners (and a big cave-in that imperils the miners), it has German and French dialog.
