What a champion he was! The autographed menu he signed in that Beverly Hills restaurant still hangs proudly on my wall thirty years after I was lucky enough to meet him. He provided the voice of Ollie in the "sound remake" of DOUBLE WHOOPEE and nobody ever had a better time doing an DVD audio commentary than he did for SONS OF THE DESERT...

Chuck was a sweet guy. Every time I interacted with him, that was what I was struck by, not his celebrity.

I had the distinct honor of acting with Chuck several times, and the real pleasure of just breaking bread/bending an elbow with him as well.

Such talent - and yes, more importantly, such a big heart.

"Bye, guy!" See you later...

I grew up watching Chuck on WPIX in New York City. I later had the pleasure of working with him several times. Great guy.
