The award-winning Blu-ray/DVD dual format edition of Director Felix E. According to Festival Judge, Lorenzo Cadelli, "The Film Noir Foundation gives its usual treatment to another underestimated gem from a lost genre... Among the Blu-ray's countless bonus features, the detailed searches for each locations' past, present and 'soul', are fascinating."
This year's honor coincides with Eddie Muller presenting a program at the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival, Brutal, Nasty and Short: The Noir of Felix E. Feist celebrating his film noir output and showcasing four of Feist's masterpiece films.

"To be recognized for such an honor," says, Film Noir Foundation President, Eddie Muller, "from amongst such an incredible array of international selections, is hugely gratifying. Making it extra special is that The Man Who Cheated Himself played to completely packed audiences in 35mm at the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival as well as being recognized for this special digital award. So we thank our friends at the UCLA Film & Television Archive and Flicker Alley, as well as the great Stephen Smith, who produced the special feature film, and Brian Hollins, who created the "then and now" video." Jeff Masino, Flicker Alley President, added, "Many thanks to the Il Cinema Ritrovato jury for this honor, and congratulations to our colleagues at the Film Noir Foundation, who's passion for cinema led to these particular bonus features coming together."

About The Film Noir Foundation
The Film Noir Foundation is a non-profit public benefit corporation created as an educational resource regarding the cultural, historical and artistic significance of film noir as an original American cinematic movement. Its mission is to find and preserve films in danger of being lost or irreparably damaged, and to ensure that high quality prints of these classic films remain in circulation for theatrical exhibition to future generations.
As a focal point of the classic film noir revival, the Foundation serves as a conduit between film companies and repertory cinemas still eager to screen these films in 35mm. Revenues generated by ticket sales encourage studio film archives to strike new prints of films that are at risk of disappearing from public view, either through neglect or scarcity. Once these films are unearthed and returned to circulation, the chances exponentially increase that they will be reissued on DVD and Blu-ray, available in pristine, affordable form for future generations of film-lovers.
