New Bios on Jane Russell & Jayne Mansfield

June is bustin' out all over with new biographies on the fab full-figured femmes of the 50's, Jane Russell and Jayne Mansfield, from University of Kentucky. Newly published on June 15th (oddly, not on June 21st, Jane's birthday), Christina Rice's take on Jane Russell and coming June 29th (the 54th anniversary of her death) is a biography of Jayne Mansfield by the acclaimed Eve Golden. https://www.kentuckypress.com/search-re ... &amount=75. There have been a number of Mansfield books published in the last decade, all I believe by major fans doing the self-publishing or MOD route (nothing wrong with that! 
) but I think this may be the first major publisher in over 40 years to release a Jayne volume.
