Marion Davies talks

Here's a rare newsreel bit of Marion Davies at the Broadway opening of Jumbo in 1935. No stutter. No accent. Aside from the Hedda Hopper tv show in 1960, this is the only non-movie film with audio I've found where Davies speaks. Jimmy Durante was the show's star, and he had a memorable bit in Davies' Blondie of the Follies where they did a spoof of John Gilbert and Greta Garbo.

The scene with her (played by one Merrie Lynn Ross) in Churchill: The Wilderness Years depicts the stutter, Ironic in that Churchill also was a stutterer...
