Maxine Hansen, Executive Assistant for Mrs. Gene Autry, is excited to announce that in 2010 a Gene Autry stamp will be issued on a pane of stamps from the United States Post Office commemorating Cowboys of the Silver Screen.

Everyone at Gene Autry Entertainment is thrilled about the Gene Autry postage stamp and as soon we have information to share, we'll post it here on the website.

The Post Office will announce more details, including the final stamp image, later this year after Thanksgiving but before New Year's.

According to this article, there will be more than just a Gene Autry stamp:

July: Four Cowboys of the Silver Screen commemoratives (William S. Hart, Tom Mix, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers), Oklahoma City, Okla.

also:

May: Katharine Hepburn commemorative (Legends of Hollywood), Old Saybrook, Conn.

June: Oscar Micheaux commemorative (Black Heritage), Gregory, S.D.
