Most of these seem to be from the long ago laserdiscs SWING, SWING, SWING and VITAPHONE 70th ANNIVERSARY.
A lot of people have been waiting for these on DVD, and I must say it's about time.
Much of this stuff is wonderful. Take advantage of its availability.

I'm sold.

This set seems to be ready to ship - I ordered mine yesterday (my first Warner Archives purchase, actually) and about three hours after receiving the auto-confirmation email, I got another saying it had been shipped.

I'm a little confused - where did you order this from, if it's not listed on the WB archives site? I can't seem to find it.

Ah, thanks. I think it was the "big band" in the title that made me not notice it when I went a-looking.

This is great news!

Two things I would love to see come out as Warner Archives releases:

1) The Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle Vitaphone shorts
2) The Booth Tarkington/Penrod & Sam Vitaphone shorts (with Bobby Jordan, David Gorcey, etc.)

This may seem a silly question but is each short afforded it's own chapter? I've only bought features from the WB Archive and there's no chapters or scene selections on any that I've purchased so far.

On this set there is a menu on each DVD with each short separately accessible or you can choose play all in which case each short is one chapter.
