Mr Wu

Speaking of Lon Chaney, does anyone know of any release of MR WU, other than the one shown on TCM with the score by Maria Newman? No offense to Newman, but I find that musical score too harsh on the ears. There are long segments of a loud, screechy horn, that is only akin to the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard. The music totally ruins this marvelous picture, for me. Are there any other editions with a different score? There should be.

You will probably see the TCM broadcast with the Newman restoration hit the Archive relatively soon. My guess is that since there probably won't be a second Chaney set released for retailers, it'll end up in the Archive.

It's already in the WB Archive, with the same God awful score. Or is this a new restoration we're talking about? Click on the link below.
