Not yet, but it's a great film that I'd sure love to see on Blu-ray.

In as much as lists of every other kind have been compiled on this board, I'd like to see a new one composed of films with "sin" as part of their titles. Their common denominator seems to be (due to my unwholesome predilections, I've probably got a majority of them already) promising much, delivering little...of a seriously sinful nature, that is. "Sin" in a title was obviously considered good box-office, so long as the real thing was understated.

Other than the film named in the thread title, here are some features:

Sins of the Parents (1914, Ivan Film)
Sin (1915, Fox) [with Theda Bara]
The Sins That Ye Sin (1915) not much information available
The Sins of the Mothers (1915, Vitagraph)
The Scarlet Sin (1915, Universal)
The Sins of Society (1915, World Film Corp.)
The Sin Ye Do (1916, Kay-Bee/Triangle)
Sins of Her Parent (1916, Fox)
Sins of Men (1916, Fox)
The Unpardonable Sin (1916, World Film Corp.)
Unto Those Who Sin (1916, Selig Polyscope) Marie Prevost's first feature, I think
Saints and Sinners (1916, Famous Players/Paramount)
The Mortal Sin (1917, Metro)
One Touch of Sin (1917, Fox)
The Saintly Sinner (1917, Bluebird/Universal)
The Seventh Sin (1917, McClure/Triangle) the last of the "Seven Deadly Sins" movies starring Shirley Mason
The Innocent Sinner (1917, Fox)
The Sin Woman (1917, George Backer Film Corp./states' rights)
Sins of Ambition (1917, Ivan Film)
Those Without Sin (1917, Lasky/Paramount)
The Eternal Sin (1917, Selznick)
Sins of the Kaiser (1918) little information, possibly not released
The Splendid Sinner (1918, Goldwyn)
When a Woman Sins (1918, Fox) Theda Bara again
A Mother's Sin (1918, Vitagraph)
The Sins of the Children (1918, Harry Rapf/states' rights)
The Greater Sinner (1919, Rivoli Film Producing/First National)
The Solitary Sin (1919, New Art Film Co./states' rights) no, it's not about THAT--it's about venereal disease
The Splendid Sin (1919, Fox)
Virtuous Sinners (1919, Pioneer Film Corp./states' rights)
The Unpardonable Sin (1919, Harry Garson/states' rights)

That's enough wrongdoing for my hands to key in right now, but there are plenty more right through Sing, You Sinners and Sinners in Paradise in 1938 and probably beyond.

Assuming there's any sinner worthy of the name. In many of these--Connie Bennett's Sin Takes a Holiday is a good example--one looks in vain for a sinner deserving of punishment.

Talkie-sin being the focus of my prior interests, I've seriously underestimated the volume of cinematic sinning! Since TCM is now scraping the bottom of the barrel for "theme" presentations, "sin" offers tremenduous potential.

Entertainment took a holiday as well. One of those films I wished I'd saved the disk to record something else.

True, but you're forgetting...you got to see the stud who earned Five-Stars from Kay Francis.

You mean TCM is now offering "Canadian films" as a theme? Have they sunk that low?
