seeking Al Bohrer

This isn't exactly about silent movies, but rather I am trying to find information about Al Bhohrer who was the avid fan from New York who compiled the scrap books for Claire Windsor and wrote a wonderful article about Claire for Classic Images. I have been searching for quite some time on Ancestry.com, but there are still just too many possible matches. I am hoping someone here may have information about what became of him. I know that he was in the marines in 1947 and that he lived in New York. We also have two letters from Al, but the envelopes are missing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
