Oh, come on. You guys disappointed me. A few weeks ago I started a Post about Mary Astor in the TV version of "Sunset Blvd", asking what silent movie Norma Desmond was screening in her home. Gloria Swanson was showing herself in "Queen Kelly". What was Mary Astor's picture? None of my online searches came up with an answer. I never saw the Miriam Hopkin's version, and I don't think she did any silents, so I can't even imagine what she was watching.

I have had quite a few sleepless nights over this question.

Don't feel bad, Danny. I posted a news flash about a 1954 radio adaptation of SUNSET BLVD starring Leatrice Joy with a link to hear it and I got zero responses.

My guess is Puritan Passions (1923), a version of The Scarlet Letter.
