The imdb has two pages with this title though the French titles differ.
Troubles of a Grass Widower (Vive la vie de garçon) (1908) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0267049/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Troubles of a Grasswidower (Max reprend sa liberté) (1912) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0277883/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
I'm only able to find one version of the film on YouTube and the versions on The Movies Begin Vol. 5 and Cinema Antique The Stencil Color Collection are the same film.
Does anyone know which version is the one that's readily available and where I can find the other version?

Re: Troubles of a Grasswidower
There were definitely two films with this title released. Richard Abel covers this in his book The Ciné Goes To Town. Both were released by Pathé. I will have to check it when I get home tonight.

Re: Troubles of a Grasswidower
The YouTube version is definitely from 1908.
Abel is talking about another film and says it "bears a resemblance to one Pathé released in 1908, a film called la vie de garcon or Troubles of a Grass Widower (a print of which seems to be preserved at MOMA), at least according to the synopis in VFI (29 Feb 1908). if the MOMA print (which stars Linder) indeed is the 1908 film, it deserves much more attention." -- endnote 192 on page 533.
So he wasn't talking about the 1912 version, and apparently had not seen the film by the time the book was published in 1994. It looks like the IMDB has the two versions confused, as they have a photo of the Grapevine release of the Linder film.
There's a discussion about what a grass widower is on alt.movies.silent.
