Steve Stanchfield is a animator and has tried to restore Fleisher 'a Classic Gulliver's Travel (1939) and have other projects.

According to the members list, he joined in 2008 and posted once. So, yes, albeit not very active.

Looks like a good work. But I wonder why even in our modern days no telecine can handle original dye transfer very well.

For example, I heard about FOx technicolor restorations, and most or all have the technicolor negatives destoyed, and restores worked from CRI color reversal máster that had poor dynamics range with terrible black details or just missing details in shaddows. And the article about the restoration said the original photography was somewhat lost, given the problem in dynamics range.
But I ask if the original technicolor prints had the same poor shadow details or even worse.㠁
