Thanks to you both for the info. I'm going to LoC in a couple of weeks to see a few thirties thrillers but, if THE ACQUITTAL isn't already digitalized then there's not much chance I'd get to see it at this short notice.

I would like to know how you get into see films at the LOC and how much it costs. I went to Culpeper thinking that was the place to go, but found out they did not even have a public relations person there who could answer any of my questions. It was a very frustrating experience.

It doesn't cost anything but you do have to make an appointment a few weeks in advance and let them know exactly which films you want to see. The LoC building in Washington is where you view the films. I've always found the staff very accommodating and helpful. Just e mail them and go from there.
