Vancouver Sun journalist John Mackie provides a typically well-researched article on the sadly short-lived Miss Prevost:

Well-written account but the author should have stopped at mentioning that K. Anger's lurid account is highly unreliable. Instead he repeats the lurid and fictional details, therefore making them the most memorable part of his article. Poor Marie deserves better than that.

Also:
Her correct date of birth is 8 November 1896. It was recorded in a provincial birth registry on 17 December 1896.
The correct date of death for Arthur Dunn, her father, is 28 November 1897, also confirmed by provincial records.
I find the passage "But she was a silent screen star. When the talkies came in..." odd, as though "silent screen star" was a biological category rather than a socially constructed one. She turned in many fine supporting performances from 1930-33, and did a lot better, in terms of finding meaty roles, than Mary MacLaren or Helene Chadwick (inter alia) did during those years.
