Questions about two Collins shorts

Okay, Pordenone peeps (or Collins experts), two questions:

1) In The Man in the Dark, do we actually see the Old Man breath his last, and die in front of the camera, or is that just implied?

2) In the Everlasting Triangle, Kate marries Santley, then runs off with Philbin, with dire consequences. What I don't remember is-how did Philbin get back in the picture? Does he just show up? Does she make contact with him? And finally, do we see Santley, the Westerner kill himself, or is that just implied? I don't remember the last scene.

Thanks in advance!
