Spencer Bell in The California Eagle

The historic black press must have had oodles of contemporary articles on African Americans in the Arts. The California Eagle is, so far, the only such journal that I've found available online for free (in this instance, microfilmed on the Internet Archive).

WOW! Thanks so much for posting these articles, JFK. Most of which I've never yet seen, especially the tragic account of Curtis McHenry's horrible end.
