Congrats to the winners, thanks to everyone for their great reviews, and thanks to Mike for holding this event every year, it's always gotten me to watch something I've meant to but hadn't yet, and to really think about the films as well.

Congrats to the winners, & thanks to all involved.
I started something like this on my own.......forcing myself to let go & make the time to watch a silent I have wanted but haven't gotten to for my February birthday. Now I have an excuse to do it twice within a month!
I also enjoy reading all the reviews!

The version I've had is a '93 Film Preservation Associates transfer. According to the always reliable IMDb there's a 74 minute restored version that I now need to track down, since this was only a little over an hour, and I'm curious what is missing. I'm surprised I haven't seen many reviews of the 2018 Flicker Alley release of this film. It has the Timothy Brock score, as well, so I'm curious if the 2018 2K transfer is actually a new scan, or pretty much the same as your '93 version. I'm assuming the one you watched is 62 minutes?

I recently watched Berlin on YouTube, but I muted it and played the original Edmund Meisel score (on Spotify), which I much preferred to whatever composer did the YouTube version.

That being said, I loved the film. Fascinating time capsule into Berlin daily life, especially since it was made in the Expressionist film style of the time.
