Has anybody seen this Russian movie? "My Grandmother"? I keep reading about it but I still don't have any idea as to what it is like.

It's a lot of fun- a very eccentric satire of bureaucracy. It's also an extremely eccentric film stylistically- constructivist sets, odd angles, optical tricks, annimation, everything but color. The Beth Custer Ensemble has a fine DVD of it out- I normally don't like modern scores (electric guitar Etc) but this one works very well. The titles aren't translated, they're read out on the soundtrack.
