SLIPPY McGEE (1923)

I was doing a bit of research into this film which stars Wheeler Oakman as a safecracker who has a leg amputated and was wondering if it was extant. Volume X of 'The Motion Picture Guide' gives it no stars, but the book is not always reliable as to a film's survival. Any comments?

loc moving image data base says no archive holdings. I didn't see anything in afi for this 7 reel first national film either.

Do you mean you didn't see anything regarding the current status? Because in the AFI volume
Feature Films 1921-1930 the film is discussed in the second column of page 733.

Thank you for the info. I must admit I do find it very annoying when a book gives ratings but doesn't say whether it's based on an actual viewing of the film or on contemporary writings.
