I'm looking for material on screenwriter Katherine Kavanaugh. She was married to Oliver Ziegfeld, who directed a lot of the vaudeville playlets she wrote. He was a cousin of Flo Ziegfeld and they were both actors when they met in about 1904. She was in the Valerie Bergere theater company for several years. Her first story for the screen, The Wheel of the Law was produced in 1916. She worked with June Mathis at Metro, Goldwyn, and First National from 1917-1926. After a ten-year break, she came back to screenwriting, creating the Jones family, who were the basis for 17 films through 1940. She was born in Baltimore in 1874 and spent a lot of time there. In 1919, she left Metro for a while to start her own company and acting school in Baltimore where she also produced and directed a three-reeler, Love's Crossroads. I can't find anything specific especially about her birth, marriage, or death. Of course, any details related to her work would also be very welcome.
