I've always wanted to see it, but I've never heard of any showings or airings on TV. I assume it's not on DVD either. Shame.

The IMDb info is sparse, to say the least. Apparently, the documentary played only once, at the 1984 LA Filmex, and hasn't been seen since.

Thanks. Maybe it wasn't very good.

I suspect it hasn't surfaced in the US because it's likely in French and made for television or theatrical release in France, given Moreau directed it and most of the crew mentioned on IMDb have Gallic surnames. I don't imagine there was much interest in the film for American companies to consider distributing - indeed, the AFI Tribute to Miss Lillian in this period received tragically low Nielsen ratings, bottom five or ten shows of the week out of 70+ programs as I recall. One hopes someone releasing a restored version of one of Lillian's films on dvd might try to seek it out as a bonus feature.

The lack of details is the hallmark of the obscure and/or lost, isn't it! Makes you wonder who even filled out the crew.
One POSSIBLE theory: it's the same as the AFI tribute, re-edited perhaps. That was shown in other countries. The French, inveterate dubbers rather than subtitlers, may have made their own program out of it.
But that would still leave us where we were. The main problem is, it doesn't appear to show up when searching French sources.
