Hi! I'm doing some research and need some help. A 1917 Everybody's Magazine quotes Anita Loos as speaking about an intertitle she wrote that reads:
"Count Xxerkzsxxv:
To those of you who read titles aloud, you can't pronounce the Count's name. You have to think it.
The wikipedia entry on Loos mentions the same thing, but suggests it comes from the Fairbanks film His Picture in the Papers. I haven't seen it in a while, but I don't believe that is correct. Does anyone know what film this appears in?
Thanks!
Gregory
