Silent comedians from texas

Post by rollot24 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 10:45 pm

Ok, ok I give up. I was just talking with a friend in West Texas and they claimed there was a famous silent comic born in the area around Marfa/Ft Davis. They had no clue who it was and neither do I.

Any help?

Unfortunately far too rarely silent.

George W. Bush was born in Conneticut, and his family came to Texas later in his childhood. He is not a native son.

Well, Texas Guinan was born in Waco, but she wasn't any comedian, except in the press. She played in plenty of Western shorts, but they were generally serious, at least the ones I've seen.

Waco is a long way from Marfa. I don't know of any silent film comedian from around there. Silent film actress Virginia True Boardman was born in Ft. Davis...
