What is the current status of "The Devil's Circus"? I see that a print exists. Have there been any attempts at getting it restored and released?

I saw The Devil's Circus at this showing at PFA in 1999 but I no longer remember the condition of the print. I am pretty sure it was mentioned in alt.movies.silent but I can't currently find the post at Google Groups.

I found the ams post in this thread using the third search I tried and then realized I had already linked to it in an earlier Benjamin Christensen topic. But the posts don't say anything about the print quality.

The Devil's Circus was once available for rental in 16mm from Films, Inc.

There is 35mm material at Eastman House, so if the film is not often shown, it is more from lack of demand than lack of availability.

The UCLA Film and TV Archive has a print of this and showed it a few years ago during one of their festivals of preservation. A beautiful print from what I remember and with an almost film noirish type story.

I have an old Grapevine Video VHS print of "The Devil's Circus".
