This film is listed as comprising 8 reels. The copy I have is missing the first 2 reels and runs about 47 minutes. Does anyone know about the fate of the first 2 reels?
The cast includes Ivor Novello, Gladys Cooper, C. Aubrey Smith, Constance Collier (excellent as the Gyspy Queen), and the legendary Ellen Terry.

THE BOHEMIAN GIRL was one of 139 silent features released by the U.S. branch of the Kodascope Libraries, and one of the few British films released here. The film was cut for 16mm release and I assume the Kodascope prints are all that survives.
The film is included in this edition of the Kodascope catalog:

OK the listing on page 149 gives a synopsis and says it's in 5 reels. My copy says the first 2 reels are missing of 8.... SilentEra says status is unknown....

Here is a
link to the UCLA catalog entry on this film. They have a 16mm print that apparently runs about 52 minutes and is noted as lacking the end title. You might contact them for more information. The British Film Institute is also listed in the FIAF database as holding some (unspecified) material on this film.

I recall THE BOHEMIAN GIRL being scheduled at the NFT in the 1970s or 1980s. Think it was an 'Archive Night' showing, so presumably the film was screened...
