I am one who has enjoyed Dolores del Rio in every picture I have seen of hers. "Evangeline" was a wonderful picture and a real tear-jerker. I am an absolute sook and the final scene had my eyes in a flood.

The film opened my eyes to the true story of the Arcadians, and how they were forcibly dispersed throughout the World. I've since learned even more, thanks to stories on NPR radio.

It is a wonderful film which I've seen several times. Her singing at the conclusion certainly is a highlight. Just imagine what it must have been like back then.

I should put it on my list for watching with my friend someday soon during our weekly film watching.
