Here's an informative interview with Jules White, where he claims Chaplin stated that Hamilton was one of the funniest men in the business.

Hamilton was also one of Keaton's stated favorites, along with Stan Laurel, Harry Langdon and W.C. Fields.

Also, of all people, Moe Howard in an interview, stated the same.

"Hamilton was also one of Keaton's stated favorites, along with Stan Laurel, Harry Langdon and W.C. Fields."

PS. I hope that my limited command of English didn't make that statement confusing. I meant that Keaton's favorites included Hamilton, Laurel, Langdon and Fields — and not that Laurel, Langdon and Fields were also on the record as being Hamilton fans!

Jerry Lewis listed Lloyd Hamilton as number six on his greats list. The article is posted over at Silentcomedians. Just Google 'Jerry.Lewis Lloyd.Hamilton' and it will come up.
