From the Los Angeles Times of January 27, 1963 article "'Ole' Olsen of Famed Comedy Team Dies at 71":
"[...] Homer Reid, administrator of Lovelace Clinic where Olsen was treated in Wichita and a childhood friend of Olsen's, said 'He was a great man. Even in the hospital he'd ride around in his wheelchair and kid everybody. [...He also had just gotten married eight months previously...] Reid said Olsen talked of plans for movie and television productions, and was working on an autobiography. 'It will be finished by his wife and daughter,' Reid said. [...]"
I haven't found any further references to this surely most interesting autobiography (such as it indeed being worked on, completed, or published). I do find that the fourth wife of Bill Lear, of Lear Jet fame, was Olsen's daughter, and that they had four children, one of whom, John, "is an accomplished pilot and ufologist, noted in the latter field for promoting a variety of conspiracy theories which were based, he claimed, on information obtained from military contacts" (from Wikipedia's article on Bill Lear), so perhaps it wouldn't be too hard to track down sources of further information. But I was wondering if anyone here had run across info on this autobiography? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Olsen & Johnson are proving to be a most interesting field of enquiry...
Ole Olsen Autobiography...?
