Digital downloads and the classic movie collector

I've just put up a new post on my (infrequently updated) blog. It looks at my experiences using Vudu, a digital download service, with from the perspective of being a classic movie collector and fan.

I've put quite a bit of thought into this lately because I can see how the studios would want to shift distribution of films away from physical discs and what direction my movie collecting might go in during the next couple of decades.
