HAPPY DAYS (1930)

Some time back I downloaded the Fox musical HAPPY DAYS from YT. I know the Grandeur version is not known to have survived, but I was wondering if there were better copies than that posted. Admittedly I'm glad to have it in any form, but I remember it being scheduled at London's NFT in the mid-1970s and was wondering if that copy was in better shape...

One reel of the Grandeur version survives at MoMA.

And more than likely it survives on the "gray market" in better quality than anything on YouTube.

My 'gray market' copy is fairly dire - I wonder whether any decent copies of this film are about. Would purchase like a shot if there was as it is not that bad a film.

Thanks for the postings. Nice to know a reel of the Grandeur survives anyway (may've just forgotten about that), which is something at least.

How funny - while I was driving home from work about an hour ago I thought about watching it tonight. I recall my copy being not terrific but not terrible either, but it's been a long time. I'll have to see.
