Surprised there's been no great amount of talk about this in silent film-circles (or perhaps not), but just thought I'd say that I finished watching the BBC series PEAKY BLINDERS the other night, and Charlie Chaplin happens to be portrayed, briefly, in season 2, ep. 5.
(A quick google search revealed that there's been some talk of this, as it's claimed in the episode that Chaplin was definitely gypsy. However, I guess just a diehard would feel seriously cheated by the fact that the episode, set in 1922, claims that Charlie was in England that year "promoting his new film" -- well, had it been set in the autumn of 1921, perhaps.

Maybe I'll add that on imdb.)
All in all, though, a very good series, superbly acted and directed for the most part. Quite violent though.
