A Wonderful Cinema Under Threat

Post by brendangcarroll » Sun May 15, 2016 7:44 am

Dear Friends

I wish to alert you to the sad news of the possible destruction, very soon, of the Grand Cinema, in Southport, England, UK.

See attached photo and this link:-

Until 2013 it was a casino but it is now empty and looking very sad and forlorn.

Unless a new use can be found for this great building, I fear it will be demolished.

Can you please highlight this Art Deco jewel, on your site, the imminent threat to it and offer me some advice as to how I can mount a campaign to save it (based on your great experience)

Thank you!

Brendan Carroll
