Is "The Devil-Doll" (1936) in anyone's top ten or so of movies? It is in mine. I love when I can find a movie that I can watch five or more times over the years and always look forward to the next time I see it.
Would be great to see a "Making Of" of this movie, with in character make-up interviews of Barrymore.

I love THE DEVIL DOLL! Lionel Barrymore in drag is a hoot! I think it's one of Todd Browning's better 1930s films. WB have recently reissued it on DVD-R, but you can still find the MGM horror set on pressed DVDs from some outlets.

I read some place that Lionel looked at himself in drag and said "Good god! Ethel!"

Maybe she helped Lionel get through this role.
