Any interest in a "Star of the Month" discussion?
Hello all,
Is there any interest in some sort of "Star of the Month" discussion? I figure we could alternate focusing on silent and talkie stars from month-to-month. You could talk about your favorite films with that star, underrated gems, best quotes, cool memorabilia, etc. Anything is fair game, and "star" may be in the eye of the beholder.
If there is interest, I'll pick the first star and will fire up a new discussion within the next couple of days, so please let me know your thoughts below. Cheers!
Dave

Yes, I like the idea of discussing the work of one performer (or director or screenwriter or whomever) over the course of a month. It would have an added benefit of putting a lot of info into one place, which would make research on that person easier. (Yes, there are scholars who use Nitrateville as a source of research -- or at least a starting place . . . )
So who do we start with?

After your first pick, I vote for Lon Chaney (Sr.) given the time of year. Or perhaps deeper cuts like Peter Lorre or Bela Lugosi.

Naturally, the Great Man would have to come in there too!

I think it might be a good idea to alternate male and female stars.
