Film Indentification...?

Post by hotzappa11 » Wed Jun 26, 2019 3:26 am

So I was recently watching an episode of Rowan Atkinson's Laughing Matters -

- and between 3 minutes 25 seconds and 3 minutes 45 seconds there are clips used of a physical examination between a doctor and a patient. Can anyone identify the film? I, personally, think it might be Harry Langdon but I'm not sure. Thanks!

The clips you specify are of Lupino Lane (patient) and his brother Wallace Lupino in GOOD NIGHT NURSE, a 1929 silent short long overdue - like most of Lane's comedies - for restoration and revival.

Wow, that was quick! Thanks Jonathan! :D It's a shame the only copy I can find online doesn't work. Edit: It does now.

I think I had Good Night Nurse on a VHS compilation from Videobrary. Not sure if a DVD of that collection ever surfaced.
