How About a kind Word for Columbia

I have spent the last couple of days going through the Columbia set of Screwball comedies. Not only are the transfers excellent, but there are a goodly number of extras, including a cartoon and a Jules White short.
I think it would be wise to stop focussing for a moment on the sins of Paramount and thank the nice people at Columbia. Mike S., did you talk them into the extras?
Go forth and spend some money, folks. Convince the heathen that there is a buck to be made and watch the archives open up.

Mike has made me a major Columbia fan. I have yet to see a Columbia silent that I did not thoroughly enjoy. And he has uncovered several wonderful sound films (
Dangerous Blondes) that I might otherwise have gone through life not meeting.
What's on the DVD set again?
And Mike, can't we clone you and send you to Universal and Paramount?

The four features are
THEODORA GOES WILD
TOGETHER AGAIN
THE DOCTOR TAKES A WIFE
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
And the shorts are the Sid Marcus cartoon THE MAD HATTER (1940) and the Schilling-Lane AIN'T LOVE CUCKOO?

Those sets are the next ones I'm planning on buying. The other set looks good too, and I'm a huge Jean Arthur fan!

Isn't one of me more than enough?
In all seriousness, yes, please buy these. Sales is all these people understand; moreover, they focus on the first couple of weeks, even though I keep telling them that people don't rush out and buy catalog titles the first week like they do with the latest slasher film or fart comedy. So yeah, I hate to sound like a shill, but $$$ is the only language they speak. (In fairness, though, this is true of pretty much every studio.)
