Chico and Groucho Marx recorded this show for the Columbia Broadcasting System during a hiatus
in filming their second picture for Metro, on Friday, February 12, 1937.
A US Government resource listed the recording date as 2/12/47. The 3 must have been mistyped
as a 4, because most sources list the show as being from around 1938 or 1939, and Jean Harlow,
who is mentioned on the show, was still alive in early 1937. During the show, there is also a reference
to it being a Friday night program, as well as a mention that Groucho's secretary left in October and
that he wants her to come back by March. At the end, the announcer mentions CBS.
A script of the first act of the show was published in the book, "The Great Radio Comedy Program."
