Today I bought an old 35mm projector and together with it I recieved a box full of 35mm film. Most of it are uninteresting pieces of movies from the 40's, 50's and 60's.

There was however a very little roll of nitrate film.

It depicts a group of man and women in costume doing some kind of dance. The film looks to be hand colored.

I've tried to make a scan, but because of the black background and the bad scanner, the quality isn't good. Does anyone recognizes this?

That's a beautifully colored frame. If you email it to [email protected]" target="_blank with any other information that you have, the AMIA will put it on their Nitrate Film Interest Group page and maybe an archivist can identify it. The website is at http://www.flickr.com/people/nfig/.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will do that. I will take another scan also this evening. At the end of the reel there is a second scene with a row of trompetists. Before the scene starts there is an intertitle 'Les Trompettes' (the trompets).
