You're buying MS Word just to make this one document? You have a windows 7 laptop but no office??? Hm, if you're going to have to learn how to use it, you might as well try some free Open Office first.
Frederica, given that, you can talk about section breaks but I don't think he'll understand. By the way, I wouldn't use control+A, I'd just select the list and not anything before or after.
The problem is, Darren, if you're a first time user most advise that you'll get will not be tailored for your needs. You'll still make some beginner's mistakes anyway. I'm not sure that the members here, no matter how helpful, will be able to fully overcome that.
Asking is good, obviously. But asking on a forum for the open office product that you wish to try might not be a bad idea, as they'll be used to newcomers there.
