Norma Talmadge film THE MOTH - need help

Unread post by Rachel Parker » Wed Apr 15, 2015 6:16 am

Hello everyone,

I am attempting to re-create the lost/missing ending to the Norma Talmadge film THE MOTH (1917) that will be screened at Mostly Lost IV. It was suggested to me to check with you fine people in my search for stills or anything else that could be of help in this endeavor. The film was re-released in 1921 so I am having to check for both 1917 and 1921.

Any stills or even suggestions of places to check are greatly appreciated.

While I am currently waiting to hear back from several of these sources, here are the places/people I have researched/contacted thus far: Lantern, LoC (prints and photographs department and the MP reading room), Herrick (special collections and stills), GEH, NYPL, FIAF, Greta de Groat, NYSA, Kobal collection, Photofest, BFI, Cleveland Public Library, MoMA, Harry Ransom Center and Joe Yranski.

Thanks very much for any help,
