What Laurel & Hardy films were they? Silent or sound shorts, Hal Roach features, Fox features?

They're running the old Laurel & Hardy Show that was syndicated back in the 80's.

It's fune to see the old 80's intro and commercial breaks again, but the prints aren't nearly as good as they once were--thanks to the DVDs. For some reason, MeTV has the volume cranked up and the announcer's voice is pretty distorted. But, I'm glad to see htem on commercial TV again, even with all the diabetes kit and Hovercraft ads.

I think they may have used a newer print of Pardon Us than what originally was packaged in the original 1980's run of the series. it had an RHI logo at the beginning, which they didn't have back when the show first came out. But they still used the opening theme song and the standard commercial "bumpers."

My ME-TV affiliate, WSAH-TV, runs infomercials during the Laurel and Hardy time slot. Most unfortunate.

While I had noticed that the MeTV schedule was showing that LAUREL AND HARDY was to start on WSAH-TV beginning March 11th, it wasn't on; just infomercials. I e-mailed the GM of the station, hoping to see if L&H are coming in the near future.

Not bad for a bunch of 80 year-old comedies, I'd say. Although i would really love it if they used the newer prints.
