Do any of you think it would cut any ice if a whole bunch of us were to hassle TCM to show some silent and pre-code era stuff?

Oh I wish. TCM UK shows the same stuff over and over and the only pre-Code stuff that has appeared recently has been the John Wayne singing westerns. As for silents ... forgetaboutit ...

It used to be a bit more varied but it has never been on a par with the US version.
