In Paramount's 1954 Secret Of The Incas, a scene set in Nicole Maurey's hotel room has she and Charleton Heston discussing truth. He says he will tell her the truth and she replies: "It would be a nice change!" This line was obviously "looped" by Ms. Maurey, but the sound quality is so obviously different from the rest of the conversation. As her back was to the camera during this line, we cannot see if it matched any lip movements or if the line was inserted after the fact.

The notorious examples are THE LIST OF ADRIAN MESSENGER in which Paul Frees looped for Tony Curtis and Frank Sinatra; and ONE TWO THREE in which Fritz Feld, John Banner and Sig Ruman dubbed in their voices in place of German actors.
