Hey All,
This Thursday January 10th, I will be showing a Blackhawk 8mm print of "The Social Secretary" (1916) starring Norma Talmadge with one of Erich Von Stroheims earliest film appearances in a minor role, and a very important one. I will begin the evening with a 8mm Blackhawk print of D.W. Griffith's " The Musketeers Of Pig Alley" (1912) starring Lillian Gish. Both films will have Mary J. Martin on the piano and electric ukulele.
The showing will be at 7:30PM at The WOMR Davis Space in The Schoolhouse 494 Commercial St. in Provincetown MA. There will be a $5 dollar suggested donation to help support Community supported radio WOMR. Free popcorn will be supplied by The Provincetown Inn. Beer, Wine, and Soda will be available too.

The Social Secretary (1916)
Idle question. I saw The Social Secretary several decades ago, and according to my creaky memory, von Stroheim was a reporter for a gossip publication whose title was clearly patterned after Town Topics. Can somebody tell me the exact title of von Stroheim's gossip rag in the film?
