And for those who don't want to wait, the "French Masterworks" series that includes Gribiche will be out in about a month.

In honor of this, I've posted two very charming excerpts from our Gribiche score to our home page: J.S. Zamecnik's Le Chant des Boulevards (a re-recording of a piece that appeared on our early album, Cinema: Silent Film Music by J.S. Zamecnik), and a suite of songs from the 1918 musical comedy The Rainbow Girl. This is the medley as published; different bits of it are used in different places in the score itself.

The French Masterworks set, with Gribiche and five other Albatros productions, is available for pre-order. At the moment, it's cheaper direct from the source than from Amazon.

DVD, except for "The Late Mathias Pascal" that is available separately on Blu-Ray but is included in the DVD set. These are wonderful films.

Will the other films be coming out in Blu-Ray eventually? I already purchased the Blu-Ray of Mathias Pascal.

Just guessing, but because this was originally announced to include Blu-Ray, it seems a decision was subsequently made that releasing them in Blu-ray wasn't feasible economically. I'm glad to see them in any form.

There are no plans to release the others on Blu-Ray. We don't even have HD masters.
