The writing credit for "Who Killed Vaudeville" misspells writer Gwen Bagni's name. Her first husband, John Bagni, shared many co-writing credits with her, until his untimely death in 1954 at age 45. She soldiered on as a television writer, many times later sharing screen credit with her third husband, Paul Dubov. When Bagni got her first movie credit in 1950 with John Bagni, for "Captain China," the handwriting was on the wall for Hollywood studio employees. The major studios were soon cutting back movie production as television cut into the film going audience. Bagni seems to have made the transition to TV screenplay writing fairly well, to judge by her long career as a TV writer.
