THE DIVINE LADY
THE DIVINE LADY
Tomorrow morning TCM will be showing THE DIVINE LADY (1929)....I think for the first time in years?
As an aside, it's pretty cool to have a Marie Dressler day on TCM!

Just since yesterday, since that's when I got here! I actually made a couple of posts from the British Airways lounge at Heathrow too. That's got to be some kind of doubious record.
Unfortunately, I forgot to set up my DVR to record The Divine Lady before I left.

I don't have a DVR and I don't use my VHS recorder either.silentfilm wrote:Just since yesterday, since that's when I got here! I actually made a couple of posts from the British Airways lounge at Heathrow too. That's got to be some kind of doubious record.

I'm certain, however, that some bootlegged version will show up online sooner or later.

The last time TCM aired THE DIVINE LADY was clear back in 1997! I managed to get a copy from a guy who recorded in in Super VHS back than transfered to DVD-R a little over a year ago. I got it this time on the Hard-drive recorder. Now when is TCM going to finally repbroadcast Chaney's WHERE EAST IS EAST, with Lupe Velez?

Please Sir... Corinne Griffith, As Emma Hart, Not quite Yet Lady Hamilton. From Frank Lloyd's THE DIVINE LADY (First National, 1929).
