"Movie Star" card game

Post by entredeuxguerres » Fri Dec 06, 2013 2:01 pm

Not so very long ago, someone mentioned a card game played with cards featuring the portraits of each of 48 different silent stars; searched for, but couldn't find that discussion. Anyway, I just picked up one of these cards, shown below:

Never heard of these cards but they're pretty fascinating with several stars I've never even heard of! Was there a Gloria Swanson card?

No Gloria card that I saw; hard to believe SHE would have been omitted! Many of the others I'd never heard of. Think best looking cards are Mae Murray & Julia Faye, a grand gal if there ever was one.

Unless I've got it confused with something else, there was a discussion of these cards a while back.

It may have been spoons and not cards.
